Palmini Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of Palmini hearts of palm lasagna sheets
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F.
  2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
  3. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer the Palmini lasagna sheets, followed by the ground beef, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve.
