Palmini Lasagna
Palmini lasagna is a delicious and low-carb alternative to traditional lasagna, using thinly sliced hearts of palm as the noodles. This recipe is perfect for those looking for a lighter and healthier version of the classic Italian dish.
Ingredients
- 2 cans of Palmini hearts of palm lasagna sheets
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Season with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning.
- In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer the Palmini lasagna sheets, followed by the ground beef, ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with a layer of mozzarella cheese on top.
- Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese on top.
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
- Let the lasagna rest for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve.
