Palong Shaak Paneer (creamy Spinach And Paneer Curry)

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, washed and chopped
  • 200g paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  3. Stir in the ginger and garlic paste, and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add the pureed tomatoes, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
  5. Add the chopped spinach and cook until wilted.
  6. Gently stir in the paneer cubes and green chilies.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Palong Shaak Paneer is ready to be served hot with rice or naan.
