Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt. Pour in the yeast mixture and knead until a smooth dough forms.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  4. Divide the dough into small balls and place them on a baking sheet. Let them rise for another 30 minutes.
  5. In a small saucepan, heat the vegetable oil and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  6. Brush the risen dough balls with the garlic-infused oil and bake in a preheated oven at 375°F for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
  7. Sprinkle the pampushki with chopped fresh dill before serving.
