Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup diced bell peppers

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Add warm milk and olive oil. Mix until a dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5 minutes, then place in a greased bowl. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
  3. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces and shape them into balls. Place on a greased baking sheet and let rise for 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Flatten each dough ball and cook for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Spread pizza sauce on one side of each pampushka and sprinkle with cheese, pepperoni, olives, and bell peppers.
  6. Cover the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
  7. Serve the pampushky pizzazz hot and enjoy!
