Ingredients
- 2 cups dried hibiscus flowers
- 8 cups water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger
Instructions
- In a large pot, bring the water to a boil.
- Add the dried hibiscus flowers, sugar, cinnamon stick, and grated ginger to the boiling water.
- Reduce the heat and let the mixture simmer for 10 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat and let the hibiscus mixture cool to room temperature.
- Strain the liquid into a pitcher, discarding the hibiscus flowers and other solids.
- Refrigerate the Chicha de Saril until chilled.
- Serve the Panamanian Hibiscus Drink over ice and enjoy!
