Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup white sugar
- 5 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 (12 fluid ounce) can evaporated milk
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Sift flour, baking powder, and salt together; set aside.
- Cream butter and 1 cup sugar together in a large bowl. Add eggs and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract; beat until fluffy. Add flour mixture to butter mixture, beating until just combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake in the preheated oven until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, 30 minutes.
- Combine whole milk, condensed milk, and evaporated milk in a small saucepan over medium heat until hot but not boiling. Pour over the hot cake.
- Let the cake cool completely, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight.
- Whip heavy cream in a large bowl until thick. Add 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract; continue to whip until stiff. Spread over cooled cake. Sprinkle ground cinnamon on top for garnish if desired.
