Ingredients

  • 400g paneer, cut into slices
  • 1 cup hung curd (thick yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup cashew nuts, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 cup tomato puree
  • 1/4 cup cream
  • 2 tbsp ghee (clarified butter)
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix hung curd, cashew nuts, raisins, garam masala, red chili powder, and turmeric powder to make the filling.
  2. Take each paneer slice and make a pocket in the center without cutting through. Stuff the filling into the pocket of each paneer slice.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan and add ginger-garlic paste. Sauté for a minute.
  4. Add tomato puree and cook until the ghee separates from the puree.
  5. Stir in the cream and salt. Cook for a few minutes.
  6. Gently place the stuffed paneer slices in the gravy. Cook for 5-7 minutes, turning the slices carefully to coat them with the gravy.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
