Paneer Tikka (chettinad Paneer Tikka)
Paneer Tikka is a popular Indian appetizer made with marinated and grilled paneer cubes. This Chettinad version of Paneer Tikka is known for its bold flavors and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 400g paneer, cut into cubes
- 1 cup thick yogurt
- 2 tablespoons Chettinad masala powder
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 1 onion, cut into wedges
- 1 bell pepper, cut into chunks
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix yogurt, Chettinad masala powder, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, red chili powder, lemon juice, and salt.
- Add paneer cubes, onion wedges, and bell pepper chunks to the marinade. Coat them well and let it marinate for 1 hour.
- Thread the marinated paneer, onion, and bell pepper onto skewers.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the skewers in the pan and cook until the paneer is golden brown and the vegetables are tender, turning occasionally.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot.
