Pani Puri, also known as Golgappa, is a popular street food in North India. It consists of crispy hollow puris filled with spicy, tangy water, and a mixture of flavored water, tamarind chutney, chaat masala, potato, onion, and chickpeas. Ingredients
- 20 puris
- 2 boiled and diced potatoes
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 1 cup boiled chickpeas
- 1/2 cup tamarind chutney
- 1/4 cup mint-coriander chutney
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black salt
- 4 cups water
Instructions
- Prepare the spicy water by mixing water, mint-coriander chutney, cumin powder, black salt, and chaat masala in a large bowl.
- Crack the top of each puri with a spoon to create a small opening.
- Fill each puri with a small amount of diced potatoes, chickpeas, and chopped onion.
- Top each puri with a spoonful of tamarind chutney.
- Dip the filled puri in the spicy water and enjoy immediately.
