Pani Puri Salad Bowls are a delightful twist on the traditional Indian street food, Pani Puri. This recipe combines the flavors of Pani Puri with the freshness of a salad, creating a unique and delicious dish.
Ingredients
- 1 cup boiled chickpeas
- 1 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup chopped cucumbers
- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 1/4 cup tamarind chutney
- 1/4 cup mint-coriander chutney
- 1/4 cup sev (crunchy chickpea noodles)
- 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
- 12-15 puris (hollow crispy shells)
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 lemon, juiced
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the boiled chickpeas, tomatoes, cucumbers, and onions.
- Add the tamarind chutney, mint-coriander chutney, chaat masala, cumin powder, black salt, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Crush the puris and add them to the bowl, along with the sev and chopped coriander leaves. Mix gently to combine.
- Drizzle the lemon juice over the salad and toss to coat evenly.
- Divide the salad into individual serving bowls and serve immediately.
