Paniyar Bhaja (assamese Style Paneer Fry)
Paniyar Bhaja is a popular Assamese dish made with paneer, a type of Indian cheese. This simple and flavorful paneer fry is a perfect appetizer or side dish for any meal.
Ingredients
- 250g paneer, cut into cubes
- 2 tbsp mustard oil
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat mustard oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add the paneer cubes and fry until golden brown on all sides.
- Reduce the heat and add turmeric powder, red chili powder, cumin powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the paneer evenly.
- Cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring gently to avoid breaking the paneer cubes.
- Remove from heat and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
