Papad Curry (rajasthani Papad Ki Sabzi)
Papad Curry, also known as Rajasthani Papad ki Sabzi, is a traditional Rajasthani dish that is quick and easy to prepare. This unique curry is made with papad, a thin, crisp disc-shaped Indian food typically made from seasoned dough, and is flavored with a blend of aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 4-5 papads
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 2 tablespoons oil
- Salt to taste
- 2 cups water
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn soft.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well.
- Pour water and bring the curry to a boil.
- Break the papads into small pieces and add them to the curry. Cook for 5-7 minutes.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with roti or rice.
