Papar Stuffed Fish

Ingredients

  • 1 whole fish, cleaned and scaled
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1 tablespoon tamarind paste
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the stovetop to medium heat.
  2. In a bowl, mix the cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, diced tomato, tamarind paste, turmeric powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Stuff the fish cavity with the rice mixture.
  4. Heat the cooking oil in a pan and place the stuffed fish in the pan.
  5. Cook the fish for about 10-12 minutes on each side, or until it is cooked through and golden brown.
  6. Once cooked, remove the fish from the pan and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
