Papeta Par Eeda (पापेटा पर ईदा)

Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 green chilies, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. Add sliced onions and green chilies, sauté until onions are golden brown.
  4. Add the thinly sliced potatoes, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Mix well and cook until the potatoes are tender.
  5. Spread the potato mixture evenly in the skillet.
  6. Crack the eggs on top of the potato mixture, cover the skillet, and cook until the eggs are done to your liking.
  7. Serve hot with toasted bread or pav.
