Paplet Mirsang (stuffed Pomfret Fry)

Ingredients

  • Pomfret fish - 4 whole, cleaned and gutted
  • For the masala: <ul class="ingredientTags"> Red chili powder
  • Turmeric powder
  • Coriander powder
  • Cumin powder
  • Ginger-garlic paste
  • Tamarind pulp
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. Cut slits on both sides of the pomfret fish and keep aside.
  2. Mix all the masala ingredients to form a thick paste.
  3. Stuff the masala inside the slits of the fish and marinate for 15 minutes.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and fry the stuffed pomfret fish until golden and crispy on both sides.
  5. Remove from the pan and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
  6. Serve hot with steamed rice and lemon wedges.
