Paplet Rassa (malvani Style Pomfret Curry)

Ingredients
- 4 pomfret fish, cleaned and cut into pieces
- 1 cup grated coconut
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 tomato, finely chopped
- 1/2 inch ginger, grated
- 4-5 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 2-3 tbsp Malvani masala
- 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
- 2-3 green chilies
- Coriander leaves for garnish
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- Grind the grated coconut, onion, tomato, ginger, garlic, turmeric powder, and Malvani masala to a smooth paste.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the green chilies and the ground masala paste.
- Cook the masala on low heat until the oil separates from the masala.
- Add water to achieve the desired consistency for the curry and bring it to a boil.
- Gently add the pomfret pieces to the curry and simmer until the fish is cooked through.
- Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed rice or Malvani bhakri.
