Paplet Tawa Fry (malvani Style Pomfret Fry)

Ingredients

  • 4 pomfret fish, cleaned and slit
  • 1 tablespoon Malvani masala
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 4 tablespoons oil
  • 2 tablespoons rice flour
  • 1 tablespoon gram flour (besan)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Marinate the pomfret fish with Malvani masala, turmeric powder, lemon juice, and salt. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a shallow dish, mix rice flour and gram flour. Coat the marinated fish with this mixture.
  3. Heat oil in a tawa (flat pan) over medium heat. Place the coated fish on the tawa and drizzle some oil on top.
  4. Cook the fish for 5-6 minutes on each side or until it turns golden brown and crispy.
  5. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
