Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons sweet paprika
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the chicken thighs and cook until browned on both sides, about 5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  4. Add the chopped onion to the skillet and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  5. Stir in the minced garlic and sweet paprika, and cook for 1 minute.
  6. Pour in the chicken broth and return the chicken thighs to the skillet.
  7. Simmer, covered, for 45 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  8. Stir in the sour cream and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  9. Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper, if needed.
  10. Serve the chicken paprikash hot, garnished with fresh parsley, if desired.
