Ingredients
- 2 lbs cassava, peeled and grated
- 1 cup cheese, shredded
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup green onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- Boil the grated cassava in salted water for 10 minutes, then drain and let it cool.
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef with the onion and garlic until browned. Season with salt and pepper, then set aside to cool.
- In a bowl, mix the cooked cassava, cheese, green onions, and parsley until well combined.
- Take a portion of the cassava mixture and flatten it in your hand. Add a spoonful of the cooked beef mixture in the center, then fold the cassava over to enclose the filling and form a patty.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat, then fry the cassava patties until golden brown on both sides.
- Remove from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve hot and enjoy!
