Pashtun Chicken Tikka

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs chicken breast, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 teaspoons ginger paste
  • 2 teaspoons garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, turmeric, and salt.
  2. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and coat them well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  3. Heat a stovetop grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers and grill for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  4. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
