Ingredients
- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 4 eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup raisins
- 1/4 cup chopped almonds
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and sugar.
- Add the softened butter and eggs to the bowl, and mix well.
- Warm the milk slightly and add the yeast, allowing it to activate for 5 minutes.
- Add the milk and yeast mixture to the bowl, and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 10 minutes, then place it in a greased bowl to rise for 1 hour.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and add the raisins, almonds, salt, and vanilla extract. Knead until well combined.
- Shape the dough into a round loaf and place it on a baking sheet. Cover and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the Paska for 40 minutes, or until golden brown.
