Ingredients

  • 16 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup golden raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped almonds
  • 1/4 cup candied fruit, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add the sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.
  3. Gently fold in the softened butter, golden raisins, chopped almonds, and candied fruit.
  4. Line a paskha mold or a small strainer with cheesecloth. Spoon the mixture into the mold, cover with the excess cheesecloth, and place a weight on top to press out excess liquid.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  6. Unmold the paskha onto a serving plate, remove the cheesecloth, and decorate with additional candied fruit and nuts if desired.
