Pasta (creamy Mushroom And Spinach Pasta)
This creamy mushroom and spinach pasta is a delightful Tajik Cuisine dish that combines the earthy flavors of mushrooms with the freshness of spinach, all enveloped in a rich and creamy sauce.
Ingredients
- 1 pound pasta
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 4 cups fresh spinach
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and garlic, and cook until softened.
- Add the mushrooms and cook until they release their liquid and start to brown.
- Stir in the spinach and cook until wilted.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Cook for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese until melted and season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy mushroom and spinach sauce.
