Pasta delle Tre Torri, or Three Towers Pasta, is a traditional dish from San Marino, a small country surrounded by Italy. This flavorful pasta dish is named after the three iconic towers that overlook the capital city of San Marino.
Ingredients
- 400g of pasta
- 1 cup of San Marinese tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup of grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup of extra virgin olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Boil the pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a separate pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in the San Marinese tomato sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and toss to coat evenly.
- Sprinkle the grated Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese over the pasta and mix well.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Divide the pasta into serving plates and garnish with additional cheese if desired.
