Pastel De Atum (spicy Tuna Empanadas)

Ingredients

  • 2 cans of tuna, drained
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1 red chili, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin
  • 1 teaspoon of paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package of empanada dough
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the tuna, onion, garlic, red chili, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  2. Place a spoonful of the tuna mixture onto each empanada dough round.
  3. Fold the dough over the filling and press the edges to seal.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and fry the empanadas until golden brown.
  5. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
