Ingredients

  • 2 green plantains

Instructions

  1. Peel the plantains and cut them into 1-inch thick slices.

  3. Fry the plantain slices for 2-3 minutes on each side, until they are golden and crispy.
  4. Remove the fried plantains from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  5. Flatten the fried plantains into patties using a flat surface, such as a plate or a plantain press.
  6. Return the flattened patties to the hot oil and fry for an additional 2-3 minutes on each side until they are crispy and golden brown.
  7. Remove the patacones from the oil, sprinkle with salt, and serve hot.
