Ingredients
- 4 pieces of white fish fillets
- 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves
- 4-5 green chilies
- 1/2 cup grated coconut
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- 4 banana leaves, cut into 8x8 inch squares
Instructions
- Clean the fish fillets and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- In a blender, combine coriander leaves, mint leaves, green chilies, grated coconut, cumin seeds, sugar, lemon juice, and salt. Blend into a smooth chutney.
- Spread the chutney over the fish fillets, ensuring they are evenly coated. Marinate for 15 minutes.
- Place each marinated fish fillet on a banana leaf square and wrap it securely.
- Steam the wrapped fish fillets for 10-12 minutes until they are cooked through.
- Serve hot with steamed rice or bread.
