Ingredients
- 1 cup roasted peanuts
- 1 cup jaggery (or brown sugar)
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
- Water, as needed
- Ghee or oil, for cooking
Instructions
- In a food processor, grind the roasted peanuts and jaggery to a coarse mixture.
- Transfer the mixture to a bowl and add cardamom powder. Mix well and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, turmeric powder, and a pinch of salt. Gradually add water to form a soft dough.
- Divide the dough into equal-sized balls and flatten them into small discs.
- Place a portion of the peanut-jaggery filling in the center of each disc and seal the edges to encase the filling.
- Roll out each filled disc into a thin flatbread, using a little flour to prevent sticking.
- Heat a skillet or griddle over medium heat and cook the flatbread with a little ghee or oil until golden brown on both sides.
- Repeat the process for the remaining dough and filling.
- Serve the Peanut Sweet Flatbread warm with a drizzle of ghee or a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
