Ingredients
- 1 cup green peas
- 1 cup cottage cheese (paneer), cubed
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 green chilies, slit
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1 teaspoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter) or oil
- Fresh cilantro leaves for garnish
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Heat ghee or oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add the chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add the ginger and garlic paste, green chilies, and sauté for a minute.
- Stir in the tomato puree, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the oil separates from the masala.
- Add the green peas and cook for 5 minutes, then add the cubed cottage cheese and mix gently.
- Pour in the heavy cream and garam masala. Simmer for 5-7 minutes until the curry thickens.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
