Ingredients

  • 1 cup peas
  • 200g cottage cheese (paneer), cubed
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, pureed
  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 cup yogurt
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Once they splutter, add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
  2. Add ginger-garlic paste and sauté for a minute. Then, add the pureed tomatoes and cook until the oil separates.
  3. Stir in the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook for a minute.
  4. Add the peas and cubed cottage cheese. Mix well and cook for 5 minutes.
  5. Whisk the yogurt and add it to the pan. Stir continuously to avoid curdling.
  6. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until the peas are tender and the curry has thickened.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
