Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 red bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 2 yellow bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the flour, salt, and sugar.
  2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Add the yeast mixture and 2 tablespoons of olive oil to the flour mixture. Knead the dough until smooth, then cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  5. Roll out the dough into a large rectangle and transfer it to a baking sheet.
  6. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced peppers, onion, and garlic. Cook until softened, then stir in the smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  7. Spread the pepper mixture over the dough and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy.
  8. Slice the Pepper Flatbread and serve warm.
