Pepper Steak

Ingredients

  • 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and beef broth. Set aside.
  2. Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the steak and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed. Sauté the garlic, bell peppers, and onion until they start to soften.
  5. Return the cooked steak to the skillet and pour the sauce over the ingredients. Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens and the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
  6. Serve the pepper steak hot with steamed rice or noodles.
