Pepper Steak
Pepper steak is a delicious and savory dish that is perfect for a hearty meal. The combination of tender steak, colorful bell peppers, and flavorful sauce makes this dish a favorite in many households.
Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 bell peppers, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and beef broth. Set aside.
- Season the sliced steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over high heat. Add the steak and cook until browned. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add a little more oil if needed. Sauté the garlic, bell peppers, and onion until they start to soften.
- Return the cooked steak to the skillet and pour the sauce over the ingredients. Cook for a few more minutes until the sauce thickens and the steak is cooked to your desired doneness.
- Serve the pepper steak hot with steamed rice or noodles.
