Persian Chicken

Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground turmeric
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together the onion, garlic, turmeric, cumin, cinnamon, nutmeg, cilantro, parsley, mint, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat them with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
- Serve the Persian chicken hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
