Ingredients

  • 4 chicken breasts, skinless and boneless
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together the onion, garlic, turmeric, cumin, cinnamon, nutmeg, cilantro, parsley, mint, and lemon juice to create a marinade.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper, then coat them with the marinade. Let them marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken breasts and cook for 6-7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked.
  4. Serve the Persian chicken hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired.
