Peshawari Chapshoro (پشاوری چپشورو)
Peshawari Chapshoro is a traditional Muhajir dish that originates from the Peshawar region of Pakistan. It is a flavorful and hearty minced meat dish that is perfect for a satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 500g minced beef
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, diced
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp red chili powder
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- 4 eggs
- 4 naan bread or roti, for serving
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Sauté until they start to crackle.
- Add onions and cook until they turn golden brown.
- Stir in the minced beef and cook until it changes color.
- Add tomatoes, green chilies, ginger paste, garlic paste, coriander powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft and the mixture is well combined.
- Make 4 wells in the mixture and crack an egg into each well. Cover the pan and cook until the eggs are set to your liking.
- Serve hot with naan bread or roti.
