Ingredients

  • 4 cups water
  • 4 green cardamom pods
  • 4 cloves
  • 2-inch piece of cinnamon stick
  • 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves
  • 1/2 cup milk (or non-dairy milk)
  • Sugar, to taste

Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring the water, cardamom pods, cloves, and cinnamon stick to a boil.
  2. Add the black tea leaves and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. Stir in the milk and sugar, and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea into cups and serve hot.
