Peshawari Chai, also known as Peshawari Kahwa, is a traditional tea from the Muhajir Cuisine. It is a rich and aromatic tea that is perfect for enjoying on a cold day or as a refreshing beverage.
Ingredients
- 4 cups water
- 4 green cardamom pods
- 4 cloves
- 2-inch piece of cinnamon stick
- 1 teaspoon loose black tea leaves
- 1/2 cup milk (or non-dairy milk)
- Sugar, to taste
Instructions
- In a pot, bring the water, cardamom pods, cloves, and cinnamon stick to a boil.
- Add the black tea leaves and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Stir in the milk and sugar, and let it simmer for another 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into cups and serve hot.
