Ingredients

  • 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 4 tomatoes, pureed
  • 3-4 green chilies, slit
  • 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 teaspoons cumin powder
  • 2 teaspoons coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped onions until golden brown.
  2. Add the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, and sauté for a few minutes.
  3. Now, add the chicken pieces and cook until they are slightly browned.
  4. Stir in the tomato puree, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  5. Cover and cook on low heat until the chicken is tender and the gravy thickens.
  6. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving.
