Phane Phusion
Phane Phusion is a traditional Botswana dish made with dried mopane worms, a popular delicacy in the region. This unique dish is a fusion of flavors and textures that is sure to intrigue your taste buds.
Ingredients
- 200g dried mopane worms
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 tomatoes, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground paprika
- 1/2 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Soak the dried mopane worms in water for 10 minutes, then drain and rinse them.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan and sauté the onions and garlic until golden brown.
- Add the diced tomatoes, paprika, coriander, salt, and pepper. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the soaked mopane worms to the pan and stir well. Cook for an additional 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the mopane worms are tender, remove from heat and serve hot.
