Ingredients

  • 1 cup dried mopane worms
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 cup water
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
  2. Add water gradually to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Coat each dried mopane worm in the batter.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
  5. Fry the coated mopane worms until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
  6. Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  7. Let them cool and serve as a crunchy snack.
