Phane Pops

Ingredients
- 1 cup dried mopane worms
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 cup water
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the flour, salt, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper.
- Add water gradually to the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth batter forms.
- Coat each dried mopane worm in the batter.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry the coated mopane worms until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from the oil and place on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- Let them cool and serve as a crunchy snack.
