Pōhutukawa Glazed Chicken Wings (Manu Hāngī)

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger
  • 1/4 cup Pōhutukawa honey
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey, garlic, ginger, and Pōhutukawa honey.
  3. Add the chicken wings to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the marinade.
  4. Place the chicken wings on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the wings are golden brown and cooked through, basting with the remaining marinade halfway through cooking.
