Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup + 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the flour and brown sugar.
  2. Add the sesame seeds, melted butter, vegetable oil, and water. Mix until a dough forms.
  3. Divide the dough into 8 equal portions and flatten each portion into a thin circle.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook each piaya for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and flaky.
  5. Remove from the skillet and let cool before serving.
