Pickled Green Garlic

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch of green garlic
  • 1 cup white vinegar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon salt

Instructions

  1. Trim the roots and any tough outer layers from the green garlic. Cut the green garlic into small pieces.
  2. In a small saucepan, combine the vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring to dissolve the sugar and salt.
  3. Place the green garlic in a clean jar and pour the hot vinegar mixture over the top, covering the garlic completely.
  4. Let the pickled green garlic cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before using.
