Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, egg, sour cream, melted butter, and salt to form a dough.
  2. Roll out the dough on a floured surface and cut out circles using a cookie cutter or a glass.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, cheddar cheese, chopped onion, salt, and pepper.
  4. Place a spoonful of the potato filling onto each dough circle, then fold the dough over and press the edges to seal.
  5. Boil the pierogi in a large pot of salted water for about 5 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
