Ingredients

  • 4 large bell peppers

  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/4 cup pine nuts
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and cook until softened.
  2. Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned. Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and ground cinnamon.
  3. Stir in the cooked rice, tomato sauce, raisins, and pine nuts. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, then remove from heat.
  4. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Stuff the peppers with the meat mixture.
  5. Place the stuffed peppers in a large pot and add enough water to cover the bottom of the pot. Cover and simmer for 30-35 minutes, or until the peppers are tender.
  6. Serve the stuffed peppers hot, garnished with a sprinkle of paprika and a drizzle of olive oil.
