Ingredients
- 500g fish fillets, cut into pieces
- 200g rice noodles
- 2 tomatoes, sliced
- 1 onion, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 red chilies, sliced
- 3 cups water
- 4 tbsp tamarind paste
- 2 tbsp palm sugar
- 2 tbsp fish sauce
- 1 stalk lemongrass, bruised
- 4 kaffir lime leaves
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- In a pot, bring water to a boil and add tamarind paste, palm sugar, fish sauce, lemongrass, and kaffir lime leaves. Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add fish fillets, tomatoes, onion, garlic, and red chilies to the pot. Cook for 15 minutes until the fish is fully cooked.
- Cook rice noodles according to package instructions and divide them into serving bowls.
- Pour the spicy and sour tamarind soup over the noodles and fish. Serve hot.
