Pineapple Hainan Sweet And Sour Pork

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork loin, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 onion, cut into chunks
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 3 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking oil

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix together the pineapple juice, ketchup, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and soy sauce to make the sweet and sour sauce. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Set aside.
  3. Season the pork with salt and pepper.
  4. Heat some cooking oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat. Add the pork and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove the pork from the pan and set aside.
