Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup warm milk
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup chopped dill
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the warm milk, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until foamy.
- In a separate bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and vegetable oil. Knead the dough until smooth, then cover and let it rise for 1 hour.
- In a skillet, sauté the onion until translucent. Add the ground beef, paprika, and black pepper. Cook until the beef is browned. Stir in the chopped dill and remove from heat.
- Divide the dough into 12 equal portions. Roll each portion into a circle and place a spoonful of the beef filling in the center. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges to seal.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the pirozhki until golden brown on all sides.
- Remove from the pan and drain on paper towels. Serve hot and enjoy!
