Pistachio Baklava Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 package phyllo pastry sheets
  • 1 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix the chopped pistachios, sugar, and cinnamon.
  3. Brush a sheet of phyllo pastry with melted butter, then sprinkle with the pistachio mixture. Roll the pastry into a log and place it on a baking sheet.
  4. Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo sheets and pistachio mixture.
  5. Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  6. In a saucepan, combine the honey and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
  7. Once the rolls are baked, pour the honey syrup over them while they are still warm.
  8. Allow the rolls to cool before serving.
