Pistachio Baklava Rolls
Pistachio Baklava Rolls are a delightful West Asian dessert that combines the rich flavors of pistachios and honey in a flaky, sweet pastry. These rolls are perfect for special occasions or as a sweet treat with a cup of tea.
Ingredients
- 1 cup shelled pistachios, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 package phyllo pastry sheets
- 1 cup honey
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix the chopped pistachios, sugar, and cinnamon.
- Brush a sheet of phyllo pastry with melted butter, then sprinkle with the pistachio mixture. Roll the pastry into a log and place it on a baking sheet.
- Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo sheets and pistachio mixture.
- Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, combine the honey and water. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Once the rolls are baked, pour the honey syrup over them while they are still warm.
- Allow the rolls to cool before serving.
