Ingredients

  • 4 chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, ground ginger, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, paprika, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, allspice, and black pepper.
  2. Add the chicken thighs to the bowl and coat them with the spice mixture. Let marinate for 15 minutes.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken thighs and cook for 5 minutes on each side, or until browned.
  4. Add sliced onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
  5. Serve the Island Spice Chicken hot and enjoy!
