Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cut into cubes
  • 1/2 cup cold water
  • 2 cups feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  2. Gradually add the cold water and mix until the dough comes together. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap it in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the feta cheese, cottage cheese, eggs, sour cream, dill, salt, and pepper. Mix well to combine.
  4. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Roll out the chilled dough on a floured surface to fit a 9-inch pie dish. Place the dough in the pie dish, trimming any excess dough from the edges.
  6. Pour the cheese filling into the prepared crust and spread it out evenly.
  7. Bake the pie in the preheated oven for 40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is set.
  8. Remove the pie from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
