Ingredients

  • 6 ripe plums, pitted
  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • Pinch of salt
  • 6 sugar cubes
  • Cinnamon sugar, for coating

Instructions

  1. Combine the mashed potatoes, flour, egg, and salt to form a dough.
  2. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts and flatten each into a disc.
  3. Place a sugar cube in the center of each pitted plum.
  4. Wrap the dough around each plum, sealing it completely.
  5. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and gently drop the dumplings in.
  6. Cook for about 15-20 minutes or until the dumplings float to the surface.
  7. Remove the dumplings with a slotted spoon and roll them in cinnamon sugar.
